Varanasi or commonly known as Banaras or Benares is one of the famous religious city not only in India but also in the world today.  This holy city is located on the bank of the Ganges, Uttar Pradesh. This is the 7th religious hub or the sacred place to the Hindus. So, every Hindu earnestly hope to visit this holy place once in their lifetime. This is also the holy place for Jain. The city played a pivotal role in the progress of Buddhism.

Varanasi is not only a holy place, it is also a place for industry. That is it is one of the leading industrial areas in the country. The city is famous for muslin, perfumes, silk fabrics, ivory work etc. This is also the birthplace of many religious people like Kabir, Rabidas. For multiple reasons, both the Hindus & the non-Hindus come here throughout the year as it is the city of temples, Ghats, music, moksha or nirvana.

Varanasi is known as the city of Ganga & Shiva. The city has many experiences to share. The calm waters of the holy Ganges, at sunshine the boat ride, the embodiment of shrines, the countless temple spires, the ashrams, the pavilions, the ancient ghat, the palaces at the side of the water edge, the chanting mantras etc are the most interesting thing to enjoy here. One of the holiest temples here is Kashi Vishwanath. Durga Temple is another important temple of the city.

Varanasi is a place for ancient temples which attract the tourists to visit the place all around the year. The interesting places to visit here are Sankat mochan Temple, Bharat Mata Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, Sakshi Vinayaka Temple, Bindu Madhav Temple, Kaal Bhairav Temple, and Tailang Swami Math.
