Delhi Public School Bangalore Whitefield is governed by the Praxy Fernandes Memorial Trust and is a part of the famous DPS chain of schools owned by Delhi Public School Society. DPS Whitefield was established in the year 2011 with a strength of 400 students and 35 teachers. The current strength of the school stands at 1622 students and 112 staff members comprising of both teaching and non-teaching staff.

The campus of DPS Whitefield is spread over an area of 6 acres with two blocks. One block is  for the pre-primary classes while the other block is for primary classes.

Admission procedure

Admissions are open for Pre-Nursery to Class IX for the academic year 2019-20. Admission form can be obtained from the school office on payment of a fee. Registration form for admission to Class XI can be downloaded from the school website.

Children seeking admission into Pre-Nursery are called for an interview along with their parents. For admissions to Class I and above, the candidates are required to appear for a written test followed by an interview. Admissions are granted on the basis of the interview and test.

Facilities for the students

• DPS Whitefield has modern Science, Computer and Mathematics laboratory for high quality practical education.
• The school also has a separate art room for children to indulge in their artistic abilities. The art room also has many paintings and craft works done by children on display.
• The library has a huge array of book for students and teachers.
• The vast playground of the school features a cricket pitch and football arena along with tracks for track and field events.
• Dance studio of the school is the place where the students learn various dance forms. There are three trained dance teachers for teaching all kinds of dance to the students.
• Music room is equipped with keyboards, guitars and other musical instruments. The students are taught to play various instruments by expert music teachers.
• An on-campus book and uniform shop is present for the children where the children can get their school textbooks and uniform easily.
• The school canteen serves both breakfast and lunch along with snacks and juices.
• The school infirmary is equipped with four beds manned by a nurse for treating minor ailments and injuries.
• The school has a fleet of buses covering the entire city to pick and drop the students. The buses have been fitted with cameras and GPS systems.
• Day care facility is available for children studying in Nursery, LKG and UKG. The children stay in the school for about 2 extra hours after classes and return by the buses at 3 PM. The children are engaged with toys and indoor and outdoor games.

Smart classes

The classes are equipped with multimedia blackboards, Bluetooth mouse systems, computers and panel display systems. This allows the teachers to give visual lessons to the students in addition to the conventional textbooks.

Hobby classes

Paid hobby classes are also conducted by the school for Classes UKG to VIII such as Abacus, Vedic Maths, Robotics, Karate, Speech and Drama, Music, Aero-modelling and much more.
