Delhi Public School Malanpur in Gwalior is a branch of the DPS Educational Society. This school was established in the year 2012-13. The first academic session of the school commenced on April 2012. DPS Malanpur is affiliated to the CBSE and has classes from Nursery to Class XII.
The school was upgraded till Class XII in the 2019-20 academic session. The school campus is spread over a wide area of 25 acres.
Important admission information
The registration form can be obtained from the school website and must submitted with the school office before the expiration of the deadline. The registration form must have a photograph of the student. For admissions to Nursery and KG, the registration form must be submitted along with a photocopy of the birth certificate issued by a Municipal Corporation. The required age for admission to Nursery is 3 ½ to 4 ½ years as on 1st April of the academic session. For admissions to Classes I and above, a photocopy of the report card of the last qualified exam must be submitted along with the registration form.
Written test and interview are conducted by the school for admissions. The date and time are communicated to the parents on successful registration.
Withdrawal of admission is not permitted without a written application from the parents. A one-month notice needs to be given to the school for withdrawal.
Examination pattern in the school
- Classes I-II- Four unit tests are held throughout the year.
- Classes III-V- Three unit tests are conducted besides half yearly and annual examinations.
- Classes VI-VIII- Two periodic tests are held throughout the session along with half yearly and annual examinations.
- Classes IX-X- Three periodic tests on the basis of syllabus along with an annual examination.
Apart from marks obtained in the examinations, the school also awards marks on the basis of notebook submission, assignment completion and the neatness of work done by the students.
Extracurricular activities
The school organises trips and excursions on a regular basis. Sporting activities and competitions are also conducted by the school. Facilities are available for both indoor and outdoor games such as cricket, football, table tennis, chess and many more sports. In order to encourage students to participate in many extracurricular activities, the school has formed many clubs such as dramatics club, dance club, music club, sports club, public speaking club, nature and ecology club, computer club and mathematics club.
DPS Malanpur also organises various competitions such as Olympiads and Spell Bee. DPS society also has its own Mathematics and Science talent examination which is held in all schools of the DPS Society.
Transport facility
School buses are available for transporting students to and from the school. Bus is allotted to a student based on the availability of seats. Parents are not allowed to travel with their wards in the bus.
