Delhi Public School Durgapur is a joint collaboration between DPS Society and the Om Dayal Group. Om Dayal Group is also the founding body of the first DPS in Kolkata. DPS Durgapur was established in the year 2011 and is affiliated to the CBSE.

Admissions for new academic session

Admissions are open for Nursery to Class XI for the 2019-20 academic session. The forms are available at the school office and administrative office. The addresses of both are available at the school website. An online enquiry form is also available on the website. The parents can fill in the form and submit it online.

The registration fee is N/A. A written admission test followed by an interview is conducted for admissions to various classes. Provisional admission is granted to students clearing both the written examination as well as the interview.

Admissions to Class XI

The required grades for admission to Class XI are B2 and above in Class IX final examination aggregate and in Mathematics+Science combine and D and above for other subjects. In case of ICSE/WBBSE students, the required percentages are 65% and above in both Mathematics+Science combine and the aggregate and 40% and above for other subjects. Subjects for the written admission test are decided on the basis of the stream opted by the student.

The required documents to be submitted with the school are as follows.

CBSE

Copy of Class IX annual examination report card and attested copy of the birth certificate.

ICSE/WBBSE/Other boards

Copy of the Class IX annual examination report card, Copy of the report card of Class X pre-board/last examination and attested copy of the birth certificate.

Candidates selected for admission to Class XI after written test and interview would be granted admission only after they pass the Class X board examination.

School facilities

DPS Durgapur features EDUCOMP smart classes having smart boards with audio visual learning aids for children. Practical training is imparted to the students in well equipped Science and Computer labs. The air-conditioned school library has over 10,000 books. Music and Dance rooms are present to promote extracurricular activities among students. Sports facilities for basketball, cricket, football and yoga are also available for the students. A football field matching international standards is also under construction.

DPS Durgapur provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Hostel facility is available for students of Classes V-X. The hostel features furnished rooms, dining facilities, gymnasium, games room, infirmary and generator facility. Security is provided with the help of guards and CCTV cameras. An auditorium is under construction in the school. It would be big enough to accommodate 2000 people at a time.
