My city Dehradun is a beautiful city in India. It is the capital of Uttarakhand, which is near the Himalayan foothills. It is enriched with evergreen mountains, beautiful hills; colourful boats and lots more.I love my city very much. It has 6-sided Ghanta Ghar clock tower, which brings allure to the city. My city is always a busy city, where you can see a lot of busy shopping malls with the bunch of crowds. To the east, there is Sikh temple Gurdwara Nanaksar, which is an elegant temple built with golden domes and ornaments. To the west, it has river Yamuna. To the east, it has river Ganges. It is an evergreen Himalayan tourist destination. Haridwar, Rishikesh are some of the popular Hindu holy cities. There are a lot of historical sites in Dehradun. It has Tibetan Buddhist center which is a popular Buddhist place in India. Besides the historical sites, Dehradun is well known for its technological development.
It has hosted numerous training institutions such as Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Indian Military Academy, Zoological Survey of India and ITBP Academy. Also, it is the hub of national foundations including Defence Electronics Application Laboratory, National Institute for Visually Handicapped, Central soil and water conservation Research, Oil & National Gas Corporation, Uttarakhand Space Applications Center, Survey of India, Forest Survey of India, ICFRE and much more. It has a great historical value. According to the Ramayana and Mahabharata, there was a war exist between Lord Ram and Ravanan. After the successful victory, Lord Ram visited this city. Some of the ancient idols and temples have been found in this city. Maa Bala Sundari Mandir, Gaur Niwas Sudhowala, Dehradun International Cricket Stadium, Lacchiwala Picnic Spot are some of the popular tourist destination spots in Dehradun.
