Srinagar is a beautiful city and it is also the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. The city is located in Kashmir Valley and it lies on River Jhelum. The city is very well-known for its gardens, houseboats, and lakes. It is also very famous for the traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and also the dry fruits. The word Srinagar comes from the Sanskrit word and according to the History, the Empire Ashoka has founded the city Srinagar. The city is located on either side of the Jhelum and the river passes through the city and it adds on to the glory of the city and makes it glorified. The city is also very famous for its nine bridges and dal lake.
