The city is named after the Aryans and it was also recorded in the Vedas. The city has many historic connections and it was also mentioned in the Epic Mahabharata.

It is also has a very old and antique heritage that has been preserved and saved in this city. the people of Rohtak speaks in Haryanvi and there are many buildings and architecture, which was built during the Mughal period and it is still well maintained. The city also has dharamshalas that are dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha and there are many temples in this city. the climate of Rohtak varies according to the seasons and people can experience summer, spring, autumn, and winter here.
The City also has various other facilities, which makes it a developed city. the Chief Minister of the state has also called the city as a smart city and he is aiming to make it the third smarted city of the state. The people of Haryana are very welcoming and they are very traditional as well. They follow and celebrate all the festivals and it is mainly dominated by the Hindus.
