How to get admission?
Registration forms are issued in the month of March. Admissions are subject to availability of seats in the standards where admissions are being sought by the candidates. The documents required to be submitted along with the form includes the following.
- Address proof such as Aadhar Card/Voter card
- Two passport sized colour photographs
- Caste certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates
- Medical fitness certificate
- Birth Certificate
Structure of Curriculum
DPS Vijaipur follows a Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation system which assesses students on both learning and behavioural aspects of the student’s performance throughout the academic year. For classes VI to X, each term has one summative assessment and two formative assessments. The first term is from April to September and the second term is from October to March. The students are graded on the basis of life skills, work education, visual and performing arts and attitudes and values. Apart from academics, the students are also assessed on the basis of co-curricular activities and sports.
Scholastic performance has a nine point grading scale such as A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, D, E1 and E2. The marks range is between 91-100 and 0-20. The minimum grade required for promotion to the next class is D. Thus, along with marks, the students are also awarded grades to indicate their assessment status.
Short class tests are regularly conducted to monitor the progress of the children. Oral tests, discussions, questions on pictures and other tasks are consistently held throughout the session for better assessment of the students.
Facilities
DPS Vijaipur has adequate academic facilities for the students such as Science and Computer laboratories and library. The school library has a vast amount of reference books for different classes along with magazines, periodicals and CDs/DVDs. The library also subscribes five daily newspapers.
The school has a large playground for playing all kinds of outdoor games. Indoor games room is also available in the school campus. Dance and music rooms are also available for students. Health and medical checkup facility is also provided to the students.
The school does not provide transport facility for the students. Hence, it is the responsibility of the parents to pick and drop their wards.
